What Is a Level 2 EV Charger?
Level 2 chargers are designed for home charging. They deliver around 25–40 amps at 240 volts, translating to 6 kW to 9.6 kW of charging power. That typically provides a driving range of about 25 to 40 km per hour of charging, ideal for overnight top-ups or daily commuting.

Electrical Assessment & Load Review
We begin by reviewing your home’s last 12 months of electrical usage (via BC Hydro’s MyHydro data) to assess spare capacity. If capacity is tight, we’ll recommend an EV power management device or discuss a service panel upgrade.
Site Planning & Equipment Selection
We’ll help you choose a location, preferably protected and close to your parking area and select a rebate-eligible, smart Level 2 charger model if you don’t already have one.
Permitting Made Easy
Most residential Level 2 installations require an electrical permit, which we can help you obtain. Typical residential permit fees range from $50 to $300, and approvals often come in 1–4 weeks.
Installation
We install a dedicated 240 V circuit and ensure proper wiring and panel capacity. If needed, we can install a sub-panel or integrate a load management device to avoid service upgrades.
Inspection & Commissioning
We coordinate with your municipality or Technical Safety BC to make sure we meet inspection and final approval. Once tested and approved, your charger is ready to go.
Rebate Assistance
In BC, homeowners may qualify for up to 50% off purchase and installation costs (max $350), plus an extra $200 if combining with a power management device and additional rebate top-ups with programs like Peak Saver. Learn more about rebates and assistance on BC Hydro’s website.

Our team can install EV chargers in single-family homes, specifically areas like garages, driveways and carports. We also provide installations to multi-unit residential complexes. These installations are typically subject to strata or owner approval and may require professional planning and infrastructure support (if applicable). Our technicians may also be requested to install EV chargers at small commercial properties or other workplaces.
